I adore Australia. It’s among my top global destinations. I’ve been traveling there for more than ten years, and I’ve traveled across the nation more times than I have within my own. I’ve spent a ton of time in hostels all throughout Australia. A portion of them were excellent, a portion were awful, and a portion were really mediocre.

I’ve been in numerous hostels all around the nation during my stay there. When choosing a hostel, there are many factors to take into account. The following four options rank highest among Australian hostels:

Price: As you really do get what you pay for in Australia, if you choose a hostel that is extremely inexpensive, you’ll probably end up with something small, claustrophobic, and lacking in excellent service.

1 Nomads St. Kilda (Melbourne)

BEST HOSTELS IN AUSTRALIA

Melbourne, Australia’s Base St. Kilda hostel has a red frontage, and a tram passes in front of it.
One of my favorite hostels in Australia is this one. Every night the pub is packed, and throughout the week there are events and BBQs. In addition, the restrooms and rooms are exceptionally lovely and immaculate. The pub is open seven evenings a week, and there are changing food and drink deals every day. In addition, they offer free daily activities, a travel desk, and a desk for hiring and jobs. Since this is a party place, everyone is gregarious and eager to socialize.

2. Wake Up! (Sydney)

BEST HOSTELS IN AUSTRALIA

Wake Up! in Sydney, Australia, has a circular couch in the common area and a lobby.
Wake Up! resembles a hostel in many aspects. Its eight levels, ultra-trendy, minimalistic design, and compact communal areas could make you assume that networking would be difficult. Although it can be challenging to meet people outside of your room or the common spaces due to the enormous size, you can meet everyone you see arriving and going at the massive downstairs bar (Monday is the busiest night). I had a great vacation there, and I particularly appreciated the strong shower pressure and firm beds.

The hostel is conveniently close to Sydney’s Central Station, making transportation to and from the airport simple. The only drawback is that it costs more than the less costly options in King’s Cross, so you might want to “splash” on this one as it isn’t inexpensive!

Excellent bar for mingling and attracting people
Near central station in a convenient location
savings when you make a direct reservation
Private rooms cost 134 AUD, while beds start at 52 AUD.
