1. Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church
Things To Do In Charleston. This southern church is the largest African Methodist Episcopal (AME) church in the South. It is also known as Mother Emanuel Church. The church shows how hard things were for Black people in the past. It was set up after the revolt, in which black people fought for their right to pray, which was denied to them in churches run by white people. It is the first black church in the US that is not part of any other denomination. As big as 2500 people can fit inside, it’s one of Charleston’s biggest black churches. With its Gothic style and calm atmosphere, the Mother Emanuel Church is a beautiful place to visit. Since COVID-19 is going around, the church is closed to everyone. It does live streaming through apps and social media sites, though.

5. Folly Beach County Park
Folly Beach County Park is on the western end of Folly Island and has over 2,500 feet of ocean shoreline. with picnic areas, boardwalks, outdoor showers, changing rooms, food bars, and a lot more on offer. 6. Gadsdenboro Park

You can fish at Palmetto Island Park and then cook your catch on the grill. There is a picnic area, as well as hiking or biking paths and an observation deck with stunning views of the ocean. 17. Yeaman’s Hall Club
Built by Seth Raynor in 1925 along Goose Creek in South Carolina on land that had been a farm in the 1600s. Later, Tom Doak fixed it up and kept it from becoming outdated. It was planned that the course would have all the classic traits of a golf course.

31. The Best Friend Train Museum

45. Capers Island
Caper’s Island has small strips of beach with palm trees all around them. This beach hasn’t changed much over the years and has a lot of history, so it stays away from Charleston’s other famous beaches. This is a barrier island in Charleston County that is also known as Simmons Island. It has two quiet beaches, Pelican Beach and North Beach.
