Family play day on the beach

Palm Beach

Warm weather and cheap comfort is waiting for you there.
Palm Beach County, also called “The Palm Beaches,” is a beautiful place to get away. It has more than 160 golf courses and nearly 30 tropical beach parks that stretch along more than 75 kilometers of the Atlantic Ocean. From the Atlantic coast to the northern edge of Everglades National Park, there are many things to do in the area, no matter your age, interests, or price. You can relax on the beach, fish, paddleboard, or snorkel in the clear water, or look for gifts in the shops.

Take it easy On, near, or in the water
You can lay out in the sun by the water in The Palm Beaches, swim in the ocean, or book a smooth boat trip. To have a full outdoor adventure, go to John D. MacArthur Beach State Park and kayak to Munyon Island, where you can hike or have a lunch. You can relax or look for shells on the park’s more than 3 km of beaches. Turtle nesting season in the park lasts from early May to late August. Loggerhead, green, and leatherback corals love to nest there. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a non-profit that does study, rehabilitation, and education on sea turtles and works to protect ocean ecosystems. You can learn more about the sea turtles in the area there. Singer Island is a beautiful oceanfront area close to MacArthur Park that makes it easy to go snorkeling, diving, or biking.

Try to find souvenirs
There is some of the best shopping in the world in the Palm Beaches. Start your exploration on Worth Avenue, which runs from the Atlantic Ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway and has four blocks of shops and restaurants. As you walk through the shops, take a moment to enjoy the classic Mediterranean architecture that lines the road. Indulge in a drink or a meal at one of the bistros or restaurants to feel better. Northwood Village is just north of Palm Beach and has a lot of cool shops, art galleries, and restaurants. The market area has a wine stroll every last Friday of the month. A lot of restaurants and shops can be found in Harbourside Place in Jupiter, which is on the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway. The stage at the center has live music several nights a week.

Get your golf clubs ready.
This place is a golfer’s dream. The PGA Honda Classic is an event that top golfers compete in every year. Every type of golfer can find a course in the Palm Beaches, with more than 160 to choose from. The Breakers is Florida’s oldest golf course. It has been open to players for more than 100 years. The Ocean Course at the resort has six lakes, hundreds of palm trees, and beautiful tropical scenery. Hit the links at the PGA National Resort & Spa, where the Honda Classic is held. It has five great courses. Don’t miss the view from the 18th hole of The Palmer, the resort’s course that famous golfer Arnold Palmer created.

Take a field trip for learning.
The past of The Palm Beaches is very interesting. The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum is a great place to begin. In fact, the museum is Whitehall Mansion, a 1902 house from the Gilded Age. While you’re there, you can learn about Flagler, who was a railroad, hotel, and oil magnate, and the 75-room house that he used as his winter home. Visit Lion Country Safari for a different kind of learning chance. Since it opened in 1967, the drive-through park has let people see more than 1,000 animals in a natural setting, such as giraffes, lions, rhinos, and zebras. People can play miniature golf, ride a paddleboat, and enjoy fun rides made just for kids at the entertainment park on-site.
