Picture-Perfect Ambience
Explore the 19,020-hectare Acadia National Park by bike and hiking its peaks; Cadillac Mountain, at 467 metres, is the highest point on the American Atlantic coast. There are around 204 kilometres of hiking routes in the park. You may enjoy its breathtaking views all year round because it is open. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are two winter sports.

When the tide is low, walk the land bridge to Bar Island or stroll along the Shore Path beside the water outside the park. To discover more about Mount Desert Island, schedule a tour or take the Island Explorer, a free propane-powered bus system, and explore the island on your own. Boat tours offer opportunities for sailing, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. There’s also air trips and climbing for the more daring. As you ride your bike or walk along the carriage roads and trails, be sure to look out for whales, dolphins and bald eagles.
