The southern tip of Alaska is between the Pacific Ocean and Canada. Glacier Bay National Park covers 5,000 square kilometers and is a great place for explorers. There are 175 mountains that people can climb, with Mount Cleveland being the tallest at 3,190 meters. You can fish in one of the 762 lakes, such as the 15-kilometer-long Lake McDonald, or take a look at one of the 25 glaciers that have been found. Now is the time to remember these glaciers forever, because scientists say they will melt by 2030 because of climate change. Walk on the paths that lead to Grinnell Glacier or Iceberg Lake. Stay in a historic hotel, a rustic house, or a remote chalet in the park to finish your trip.

There are rough mountains, moving glaciers, wild coastlines, and deep bays on more than 3 million acres of Glacier Bay National Park. This is a beautiful place to enjoy Alaska’s beauty.

From the tops of the tallest mountains to the water, Glacier Bay has a lot of activities that are both beautiful and exciting. From Juneau, Alaska’s city, to the east of the park, you can get there by boat or seaplane. Rent a sea kayak at Bartlett Cove to start your trip at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, paddle out to the beautiful McBride Glacier. Another option is to go on an organized boat tour to Marble Island, where you can watch the cute puffins and sea lions relaxing on the shore. Even better, take a plane ride over the park’s 11 huge glaciers to see them from above.
