The classic beach town in the United States
Think of a typical beach town in the United States. Ocean City has a modern pier, and a beach with all the fun things you can do, and is known for having some of the best marlin fishing in the United States. Even though the beach is only 16 km long along the Atlantic, there are so many things to do here that it might as well be 50. Ocean City is a basecamp beach that is easy to get to, good for families and has fun things for people of all ages. You can play golf or mini-golf, grab a bite to eat on the beach or go to a grill by the water for fresh seafood and wine.
About the Beach
This beach is wide and long, so finding a great spot is easy. The water quality there is five stars, making it one of the best beaches in the US. On the south end, some walkways lead down to the water. On the north end, some walkways lead down to the water. You can have a lot of fun in the water. You can ride a personal vehicle, kayak, or boat across the waves. You can fly a kite, play beach volleyball, or even ride a horse across the sand on land.
A Bustling Beach Walk
This boardwalk was built in 1902 and is one of the most famous in the US. You’ll see why as soon as you step on it. The beach has shops selling ice cream, souvenirs, and food. It also has an arcade, a Ferris wheel, and Trimper’s Rides, a small amusement park with one of the oldest carousels in the area. This museum in Ocean City tells you about the group that existed before the Coast Guard. Get some Thrasher’s French fries and find a bench. This is the best place to watch the fireworks over the Atlantic.
Activities for fun
Dive a wrecked ship. Get around in a go-kart. At the dock, you can fish, play tennis, or ice skate. Here, you can be as busy as you want, or you can take it easy on a water tour that will teach you about history and the environment. For sports that happen on land, go to Ocean Bowl Skatepark or Northside Park, which is a public sports venue. You can be busy here unless you want to slow down. You can do things like paddleboarding and shooting. Then go to the Performing Arts Center or the Center for the Arts in Ocean City to see a show or an exhibit.
