St. Croix, Us Virgin Islands – Dusk over the Saint Croix

St. Croix

St. Croix

Take in some sunlight and then absorb culture.
St. Croix, the easternmost point of the United States, is a haven for tourists seeking a more relaxed vacation in the U.S. Virgin Islands. You will find an island rich in culture, complete with year-round festivals, historical sites, and houses of worship. Some of the most well-known diving spots in the world are found in St. Croix.

In the morning, unwind on the beach. Ride a horseback by a sugar mill from the eighteenth century. Have a romantic meal in the evening after exploring a historical chapel in the afternoon. There are plenty of things to do each day you are here, I’m sure of it.

Visit the two biggest towns on the island, Christiansted and Frederiksted, to immerse yourself in Christian culture. Play a round at one of the two championship golf courses.

Sunshine, blue waves, and white beach combine to create a sun-lovers heaven. There are around thirty beaches, including many secret gems and popular ones. Pick one of the beaches close to Chenay Bay or Colony Cove if you’re looking for a wide variety of activities. In the vicinity of Frederiksted are peaceful beaches if you value seclusion.

On St. Croix, the water activities are equally impressive. One of the three underwater national monuments in the United States is located in St. Croix and is called Buck Island Reef National Monument. Divers and snorkelers can follow an underwater path to see a variety of marine life, including native plants and animals, hawksbill turtles, brown pelicans, and protected coral reefs.

It does sound like a lot. This is only a small sampling of everything St. Croix has to offer. Visit visitUSVI.com to learn more about this magical location and the other U.S. Virgin Islands travel destinations, St. Thomas and St. John. Discover why the residents refer to the islands as “so nice”!
