Redondo Beach is famous for its history, lively harbor, world-famous horseshoe-shaped pier, miles of beach, and stunning sunsets. Some of the best seafood places in California are right on the water. You can shop at the South Bay Galleria’s world-class stores or look around Riviera Village’s cute shops. Redondo Beach has many exciting things to do outside, such as surfing, biking, sport fishing, sailing, diving, watching whales, and paddling.
This beautiful, laid-back beach city is only 11 kilometers south of Los Angeles International Airport and 29 kilometers from downtown Los Angeles. It is also close to major roads, recreation areas, and tourist spots in Southern California. Great hotels and restaurants are also easy to find, and they range in price.

Some of the best shopping in Los Angeles’ South Bay is in Redondo Beach. The South Bay Galleria has more than 135 stores and restaurants, and the Riviera Village, which is next to beautiful beach spots, is a charming neighborhood with more than 300 shops, restaurants, and services of all kinds. South Bay Marketplace is a great place to shop for clothes and eat outside. In Redondo Beach, you can drive along the Pacific Coast Highway and find a five-kilometer stretch of old and new-age shops.
Food to suit all tastes
Both tourists and locals can enjoy amazing oceanfront dining and try tastes from around the world all over the city. The Redondo Beach Pier is a famous spot in the South Bay. It has restaurants, shops, and activities all right on the water. After a lovely dinner, take a walk along The Pier, where you can see the ocean from above, and listen to live music almost every night of the week.

What kind of trip do you want? You can have fun in Redondo Beach by kayaking along the coast, riding a gondola, getting up close and personal with marine life at SeaLAB on Harbor Drive, seeing a musical at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, going to the Wyland Whaling Wall, or riding a Segway through the city.
From November to April, when the beautiful gray whales move to Baja, Mexico, you can enjoy the thrill of whale watching. A lot of the time, you can see the whales from the shore or from the Voyager, a boat that offers wildlife, harbor, and whale monitoring tours. Other things to do in Redondo Beach are swimming, fishing, boating, stand-up paddleboarding, surfing, kayaking, pedal-boating, and sailing.
