Green Bay, Wisconsin – Footbal and History

Green Bay

Green Bay is a lively city in the Midwest that is unlike any other

Green Bay was founded by French fur traders and is the oldest town in Wisconsin. The name comes from the fact that the Fox River and the smaller East River split the city in half and then flow into Green Bay, a bay off of Lake Michigan. It’s a place where farming, dairy cows, and cheese are as much a part of the culture as in the long past, with beautiful scenery, and a well-known football team. Find out what the best things are to do in Green Bay the next time you go there.

Green Bay Fun Things to Do
This city has the smallest professional football team in the United States. A lot of people come to Lambeau Field to watch the Green Bay Packers. Please have wine and cheese. Also, some beer.
Since the 1800s, Wisconsin has been known for its cheese. This is because farmers in the state had so much milk that they decided to make cheese with it. At Hinterland Brewery, try deep-fried cheese curds with a freshly made beer. Or, go straight to the source at a cheese maker like Scray Cheese Co. There are many farms and wineries in the area that make wines that go well with cheese, so plan a tour. You won’t want to miss Parallel 44 Vineyard and Winery’s “ice wine.” For more locally made drinks, Badger State Brewing and Stillmank Brewing are two of the biggest names in the state’s craft beer scene.
