Lake Tahoe

Adventures at a high level near a lovely mountain lake
Many people think that Lake Tahoe, which is 1,897 meters above sea level in the scenic Sierra Nevada mountain range on the border between California and Nevada, is one of the most beautiful places in the world. This natural gem gives you the best high-country experience with great outdoor activities and beautiful views all year long.

The Next Level of Recreation
There are many great things to do at this lake, but sailing is the best. Many companies can help you get ready to cruise these waters and enjoy the stunning views. If stand-up paddleboarding is your thing, you’ll also be taken care of there. When you get back to the ground, you can walk Eagle Falls, a 2.9-kilometer loop through the high Sierras that leads to Eagle Lake, where you can swim to cool off.

There is a lot of resort life here too. You can join ski school, ride the gondola, or ride the mountain coaster, an exciting roller coaster that goes through the forest pulled by gravity. At Kirkwood, you can learn how to snowboard or go on a private, guided tour of the best places on the mountain. Sierra at Tahoe is great for families and has a mountain that people of all ages can use for lessons and events.

Such Beautiful Heights and Views
Vikingsholm is a secret castle that you can find on the edge of Emerald Bay. It’s a 1.6-kilometer hike down a well-used road that goes down about 1,900 meters to get there. On the way, you can see beautiful views of the bay and the forest below. After that, you can visit the house from the 1800s. Enjoy the view of Lower Eagle Falls or take it easy at Emerald Bay Beach after your hike and tour.

Go across the lake to Zephyr Cove Beach. The shore goes all the way around the lake and is backed by beautiful trees. You can play volleyball, get a tan, or drink something cool here before going into the mountain water. Spend a day planning a trip along the 100-kilometer Lake Tahoe Scenic Drive. This road goes all the way around the lake and stops at historic sites, parks, beaches, and towns.

Fun for People of All Ages
You can take a paddlewheel boat tour of Emerald Bay on a ship that looks like it came from the early 1900s. During those hours, you can enjoy delicious food, specialty drinks, and views that you can fully enjoy. Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe is where you can buy gifts and clothes in the Sierra style. You can also get lunch or dinner, go ice skating, and watch a movie there. In another part of the area, you can go to Stateline, Nevada, for some fun and games for adults.
