If not, enjoy the scenery by driving through picturesque backroads, hanging gliding, or horseback riding. The only outflow from Lake Tahoe, the Truckee River, is ideal for fly-fishing, kayaking, and white-water rafting. The Lake Tahoe Regions are home to fifteen ski areas if you’re coming in the winter. Reno is home to several casino resorts, such as the Atlantis, Nugget, and Silver Legacy, which all provide fantastic dining options, amazing spas, and exciting nightlife.
