Designed by New York architect Secundino Fernandez, this striking memorial was first made officially accessible to the public in 1998. One of the most photographed lighthouses in the country, the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse was built in 1875 and is the last of its kind. The home was passed down to Hester Chase Ridout after it was first constructed in the 1770s by Samuel Chase and then purchased by Edward Lloyd IV.
